We used SLR camera for the first time and did test shots, to practice using them. So when I take my pictures for my magazine i can use the camera well, and hopefully create professional photographs for it.
These Pictures I took are a lot more clear and details than the ones I took for my College magazine, and they also look more professional.
This is shot is a medium close up, it shows a lot of detail and focuses on the face, blurring the background a little so it makes you concentrate on the person in the picture. When taking this i used the flash, zoomed in and used the manual focus so it had this result. It makes the model stand out and catches your attention more, as it looks more professional. This is better than the college magazine medium close up picture i had on my front cover, as it shows more detail and focuses on the face.
This shot is a two shot. The flash has made the colours in this picture stand out and make it more interesting. Using the flash and making the colours stand out makes you concentrate on the models in the shot rather than the background. This is good just in case the background is too busy.
This photo is also a two shot, but i did not use the flash as i was outside because it is already bright and gives you the best result. It is a long shot of both the models. I used the setting on the SLR camera to make the picture more detailed, making it look more professional and stand out more. I trailed this setting where there was lots of different colours so that i could see how it made the colours look like. The colours are bright and more attractive.
This shot is a two shot, long shot and a action shot. I used the action shot setting on the camera so they wouldn't become blurred. The models ran to see if the camera would capture this without blurring, as it did. It also makes the models stand out compared to the background even if the background is busy because the models are closer to the camera. As this picture was also outside I again didn't use the flash because it is outside and it will result in the best pictures.
